To ensure that financial hardship never dictates a student’s destiny by providing holistic support to vulnerable scholars, enabling them to complete higher education and transition into meaningful livelihoods.
Key Focus Areas:
- Inclusive Higher Education Access: Providing targeted financial and material “bridging” support to girls, students with disabilities, and those from ultra-poor backgrounds to prevent academic dropout.
- Academic Persistence & Resilience: Mentoring and supporting students throughout their higher education journey to ensure they have the tools and stability needed to graduate.
Key results and Indicators:
- % of HCCB-supported scholars (disaggregated by gender and disability) who successfully remain enrolled and advance to the next level of their higher education.
- % of supported students who successfully complete their degree requirements and enter the workforce or formal employment within 12 months of graduation.
