The inauguration of Shimulbari Hope Community Church was successfully held on 3 February 2026 in Shimulbari, Nilphamari, marking a significant milestone in expanding spiritual and community development initiatives. The establishment of this church reflects a strong collaboration between local believers, community leaders, ministry partners, and donor support.
The land for the church was generously donated by a new believer, Mr. Tulse Charan Roy, demonstrating remarkable faith and commitment to community spiritual growth. The construction of the church building was made possible through the generous financial support of a Korean missionary, with additional financial assistance from HCCB Trust to complete the construction. This joint effort has created a sustainable worship and learning space for the growing Christian community in the area.
The church serves a newly formed faith community, including 30 new believers who were baptized on 12 September 2025. Church members and HCCB leadership have been consistently praying for a permanent worship facility, and the successful completion of the church building represents the fulfillment of a long-awaited community vision.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the President of the Nilphamari Christian Association, church pastors from various denominations, local government representatives, church members, volunteers, and the HCCB Governing Board. The program began with an inaugural song, followed by the formal inauguration conducted by Rev. Raton Halder, Executive Director of HCCB Trust, in the name of Lord Jesus Christ. Participants then entered the church building together while lighting candles, symbolizing hope, unity, and spiritual growth.
During the event, guests from different denominations delivered encouraging messages highlighting unity and shared ministry goals. Md. Tuhin, a local government representative, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the initiative, particularly recognizing its contribution to both spiritual development and future educational opportunities through the planned school facility. He assured his continued support for the program. The President of the Nilphamari Christian Association praised God and expressed gratitude for the establishment of this new place of worship. The General Secretary of the HCCB Governing Board emphasized the importance of sacrificial giving for God’s work and encouraged believers to remain actively engaged in church fellowship to strengthen spiritual and moral development, especially among new believers and children.
In his keynote address, Rev. Raton Halder highlighted the church’s role in nurturing spiritual maturity, strengthening community unity, and creating educational opportunities for children. He expressed sincere gratitude to Almighty God for His guidance, protection, and provision throughout the project. He also acknowledged the continuous and unconditional support from the COBI team, appreciated the generous land donation by Mr. Tulse Charan Roy, and recognized the dedicated support of community leaders and church members. He encouraged all stakeholders to continue supporting the initiative to ensure long-term positive impact within the community.
